Introducing Rallybeam
A technical interview usually needs several tools at once. You talk on a video call, paste a link to a shared code pad, open a drawing tool for the system design question and send snippets in yet another chat. Every switch costs a little attention that should go to the conversation.
Rallybeam keeps all of that in one meeting.
One link, four tools
When you click Start, Rallybeam creates a meeting and gives you its link. Send it to the other person: they open it, type a name and join. There are no accounts to create and nothing to install.
Inside the meeting you have:
- a video call, one to one;
- a code editor built on Monaco, the editor inside VS Code, with live cursors and highlighting for every language it supports;
- a whiteboard built on Excalidraw, for architecture and system design;
- a chat for links, snippets and notes.
Both people see the same meeting and work in it live. If someone reloads the page, the code, the drawings and the chat are still there.
What a free meeting includes
A free meeting is for two people and lasts up to 60 minutes, counted from the moment the second person joins. Rallybeam warns you five minutes before the end, and either of you can end the meeting sooner.
The meeting keeps its code, whiteboard drawings and chat messages for 30 days so they can be reviewed. Then they are deleted. Video is not recorded.
What comes next
We are working on features for hiring teams, such as accounts, interview templates and reviewing a meeting afterwards. We will write about them here as they become available.
In the meantime, start a free meeting and tell us what you think.
